Interior Design

The start of designing…

Consultation – Research – Mood boards – Sketching, Floor plan – Renderings – Bringing it to life!

Step 1: Consultation

Everything starts with a good ol’ sit-down (or a call, if you’re miles away). This first step is all about getting to know you—your style, your space, your hopes for the project, and the little things that make your home yours.

We’ll chat about what inspires you, what’s working (and what’s not), your budget, and any saved ideas you’ve been holding onto. Think of it as swapping stories over a cup of coffee—easy, relaxed, and real.

From there, we’ll have a clear path forward and a shared vision that feels just right—like a front porch sunset or your favorite cozy nook.

Step 2: Research

After we’ve talked things through, I head into the digging phase—gathering ideas, textures, and pieces that feel like home. This part is less about trends and more about heart—what fits your space, your lifestyle, and the story you’re telling.

I might be flipping through old design books, strolling through antique shops, or pulling fabric samples that remind me of a favorite quilt or the way the light hits your wood floors.

It’s thoughtful and slow on purpose. The goal? To make sure every choice we make feels like it’s always belonged there.

Step 3: Mood Boards

This is where the vision starts to come alive. After we’ve talked through your style and gathered inspiration, I put together a mood board filled with colors, textures, and pieces that reflect you.

It’s laid-back and visual—like flipping through a scrapbook of what your space could become. You’ll see fabric swatches, paint tones, furniture styles, and little touches that bring warmth and character to the design.

We’ll go over it together, make changes if needed, and be sure it feels just right before moving on. This step sets the tone for everything that comes next—and honestly, it’s one of my favorite parts.

Step 4: Sketching & Floor Plan

With a clear vision in mind, I start putting pencil to paper—slow and steady. I sketch out ideas by hand, letting the design unfold in a way that feels natural and true to the space. Nothing fancy or overdone—just honest lines that tell a story.

From there, I map it all out into a floor plan. Where each piece goes, how the room breathes, where the light comes in. It’s not about packing in furniture—it’s about creating a space that flows easy and feels lived in.

This step is a blend of creativity and function, where heart and home come together on paper—setting the groundwork for everything that comes next.

Step 5: Renderings

Here’s where the ideas start to feel real. Using soft, lifelike renderings, I bring your space to life—layering in colors, textures, and pieces we’ve picked out along the way.

It’s not just about a polished picture—it’s about capturing the feeling. The cozy glow of a lamp in the corner, the way a vintage rug warms up the floor, or how open shelves bring character to the walls.

These visuals help you see what we’ve dreamed up together, long before a single piece is moved. It’s like stepping into the story we’ve been writing—one room at a time.

Step 6: Bringing It to Life

This is where the dream steps off the page and into your home. With every plan in place, we start bringing the vision to life—piece by piece, layer by layer.

I’ll be right there to help pull it all together—from finding the right finishes to making sure every chair, shelf, and light feels like it truly belongs. No stress, no fluff—just honest work and heart-led choices.

By the end, your space won’t just look beautiful—it’ll feel like you. Lived-in, loved, and ready to hold whatever life brings next.
